There will be THREE manned aid stations along the 100Km route (you'll hit the first one again for a total of four stops), that offer a place to rest and refuel, chat with your friends, and regroup. The aid stations will have water, Powerade, and various snacks to keep you going.
The 50Km route will visit the Bethany Church aid station twice.
The 30Km route will not go by any of our aid stations, though there are some convenience stores along the way if you need them. The average beginner/novice rider should be able to complete this route in about 1.5 hours. Two standard bike bottles and a Snickers in your back pocket should be more than enough fuel & fluid for the 30K route.
All routes will be marked in color-coordinated painted arrows on the road surface as well as signage indicating upcoming turns.
We will have a sweep cyclist on the course carrying tire-changing tools to help you with flats. Remember that underinflation is the most common cause of flat tires - NOT road debris, so be sure to pump up your tires to the pressure indicated on the sidewall the morning of the ride (not the night before, not last week!). For more extensive mechanical difficulties (broken chains, snapped cables, etc), we will also have a Ride Support Vehicle available to fetch you and bring you back to Midnight Brewery.
